Do you need sturdy carrying capability? You really need to put some water cans on the roof rack? And you want to travel over rough roads with these?
Sorry, there's no answer else than an specially designed roof rack. The standard one's will break under a heavy load once they are driven on rough roads. This will leave you somewhere out there with a lot of stuff to stash away in an already full car. Not the best way to start a great journey. The Sahara is scattered with debris from broken roof racks.
We have some genuine Full Length Land Rover Roofracks for 109/110/Defenders in stock. They are the same as those mounted by Landrover Special Vehicles on customers request for vehicles to be delivered to Africa- without looking at the price.
Depending on your needs we can also supply one-piece racks (they are obviously sturdier than the demountable ones) or extreme duty racks. Also floor construction will vary from bare to bars to full floor. You name it- we'll get it.
