Tank for 90 available now, 110 model available mid August 1998
The small fuel tanks were always an annoyance in long travels. Anyone who has ever driven an fully loaded vehicle offroad with 5 full Jerry cans on the roof rack knows what a convenience built-in tanks are.
We offer now a new solution for this. We supply stainless steel fuel tanks suitable for fuel, diesel or even drinking water. Those new and professional designed tanks have capacities between 50 liters for an 90 and 85 liters for 110's. On special order we supply also an additional tank holding 45 liters for the 90.
Even with those thirsty V-8's this brings your range up to an acceptable level with 150 liters in all tanks.
The stainless tanks include an electric fuel pump and all the mounting hardware. Filling is done either by an Y-tube that replaces the stock filling tube (you just turn the pistol a bit to fill the second tank) or by an separate filler with an very nice, flat and massive aluminium cap.
Another nice benefit is that you have an second complete independant fuel feed system aboard.
Tank prices vary around 25.000.- FLux for the 50 liter tank for the 90 and 30.000.- for the 85 liter tank for the 110.
The 50-liter tank on 90's is mounted in the lost space under the load bed. Our detachable hitch can still be mounted and makes for some protection. An additional skid plate is also available. This tank will not fit the 90 NAS as these already have the genuine tank in this position. However in this case we can supply an stainless steel tank that mounts under the passengers seat similar to the genuine tanks on Landrovers elsewhere in the world. As this is also a special order and hand-made item the price will be around that of the left-side tank (around 35.000.- or just below 1.000.-US-$).
The 45-liter tank for 90's is a special order item. It mounts in place of the battery under the seat. You have to relocate the battery either by using your imagination or our relocating kit so you can put it in the load space behind the seats. Also the outside of the box under the seat has to be removed. This tank can only be filled through our filling neck, not from the first filler tube. Price for this tank lies around 35.000.- FLux (1.000.- US-$) as it's hand-made to order.
