Most standard "fast running" parts in stock, others available in between 24 hours (normally) 3-5 days depending on how fast you need them and if you want to pay the express surcharge. Some parts may take longer. If so we'll tell you. However no warranty on those times.

Rust?

 Land Rovers don't rust- they are made of aluminium!

That's what most people think about our rolling sheds.

They are right in one way: Aluminium does not rust- it corrodes. And it does this very well. And some steel parts get really messy too.

 Rust on your Defender? It starts usually on those protection rails around the base of the top. Made of steel they used to be galvanised but someone must have thought that colored one's are more stilish. Now they rust after about 7-8 years, some even earlier. We have a solution for this: We get new ones and have them galvanised locally. You can then paint them in body color using the same etching primer as on the aluminium body panels. This is not the cheapest solution but it eliminates future rust once and for all. We can supply those new, galvanised rials, naked surface or ready to be painted.

 Also on door skins small "bubbles" can develop. This is bad news as that's corrosion made by direct contact of steel door chassis and aluminium door skin. On other places you find it as white powder- that was once pure aluminium. I'm afraid, there's only one solution: Get a new outer door skin. This corrosion can not be stopped, just prevented. Take off the old skin and mount the new with heavy rubber strips between the metals and use plenty of Waxoil.

 Range Rover Classic top tailgates develop severe rust too. Almost all elder cars have this problem. We supply new upper tailgates in aluminium with tinted glas bonded in place.Fully powder coated. Old lock, latches and mechanism are reused, new mounting bolts provided. Fitting time about 1 hour. Of course we can also supply new lock and mechanism.

 Tank rust on 90's and 110's: Those have a tendency to rust between the genuine protection plate and the tank body. If you find it you immediately (and you will, trust me) we can offer you an tank repair by an specialised local company. They made quite a number until now and it seems to work well if the tank is still useable. This works out quite cheaper than a new tank. The costs depend on the working hours but on average this repair costs between 2.500 and 3.000.- francs. The tank has to be delivered to us empty and removed from the vehicle.

After the repair we advise you to immediately apply an liberate coating of soft silicone window sealer to the joints between protection plate and tank. Don't do this on an used tank as you will trap water between the 2 plates.

Of course we can supply new tanks if the old one is no longer repairable. Just ask for prices, you might be surprised.

 

Overdrive and Underdrive units

An Overdrive allows you to drop engine revs in 4th and 5th gear. In daily driving this ads an 6th and 7th gear (6th between 4 and 5, 7th above 5th gear). Brand new units, professionally made. Activated by pushbuttons on the gear lever.

Underdrive works similar but shortens the ratio. Ideal for rock crawling or heavy towing- you get an additional transfer case ratio. Available in every gear and also switched by a pushbutton on the gear lever. Underdrives are only made to order and take some weeks to deliver.

Both are fixed on the transfer case and are easily mounted. Gold or blue anodized finish, can be painted dull black on customers request...

As those 2 units are hand-made and required an tremendous investment they aren't cheap by any means. Prices vary about 85.000.- for the overdrive and about 40% more for the underdrive.

Chain drive and Viscous coupled transfer boxes

 

For a smoother and much quieter ride you can opt for an newer-model chain driven and viscous coupled transfer box. Better ride on road and even better offroad performance. Price for this transformation varies in fonction to the working hours and if you want a new or used box. We can supply both

New Differential ratios

For those who modify their car with big tires or slower revving engines we have a solution too - new diff ratios. They are available as of the following table:

Heavy-Duty Manual and Automatic Gearboxes

We supply , among others, the R380 manual and ZF 4-speed automatic gearboxes. Prices vary depending on condition and age. New boxes also available, exchange or outright.

Heavy Duty Salisbury Front Axles for 90 and 110

Direct bolt-ons. You will never break this axle. Fits genuine brackets. Axle complete with disc brakes, diff etc. Everything BRAND-NEW. Packed in a sturdy wooden box.
