We have a lot of ex-military ladder-type snow chains. OK, it's not the most effective design ever made but they are brand new and made from excellent material to last. And, best of all, they cost only a fraction of new ones. Ours do fit standard 7.50/16 or 235/85/16.
If you're planning to go to some remote northern areas they are a must. Fitting a single pair on the front axle is possible but we recommend using them on all 4 wheels. After all, why do you have four wheel drive when only your 2 chained wheels get grip?
